We have now appointed an oceanographer to the team: William Llovel. He has worked at CERFACS and LEGOS in Toulouse and also with the oceanography group at JPL. We are excited to have him join the team at the end of February 2017. We have also appointed a project manager, Richard Westaway, who started in January 2017. Progress on adapting the statistical framework to work on a sphere has progressed well and we hope to have some initial, time-invariant, test results by this spring.
