Bramha Dutt Vishwakarma, member of the GlobalMass project team, is to receive the Hind Rattan Award 2020 “for outstanding Services, Contributions and Achievements in the field of Environmental Science”.
Bramha’s most recent research focuses on understanding various physical processes that drive contemporary sea level rise, using Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) satellite data to estimate water mass change in river basins and ice-sheets, and providing important contributions to the solid-Earth and hydrology work packages of the GlobalMass project. He is currently a Marie Curie Research Fellow within Bristol Glaciology Centre.
The Hind Rattan is one of the highest Indian diasporic awards granted annually to non-resident Indian citizens (NRIs) by the NRI Welfare Society of India.
