Last week we presented our work on global water storage stress at the Drought and Water Scarcity conference in Oxford.
Bramha Dutt Vishwakarma gave a plenary talk on the assessment of global water storage stress using a new metric we have developed that combines 13 years of data from the Gravity Recovery And Climate Experiment (GRACE) with longer-term hydrological modelling output (‘Mapping global water stress from GRACE satellite data’).

The conference, organised by the UK Drought and Water Scarcity Research Programme, took an international perspective on droughts affecting our world, covering themes of climatology, hydrology, risks and impacts of drought, planning, and impacts on communities.
