Earlier this week, GlobalMass principle investigator Jonathan Bamber joined a meeting at the European Parliament to discuss how best to deliver research and innovation across the continent for the benefit of wider society.
The roundtable, hosted by the Royal Society and Clare Moody MEP, brought together researchers from EU Member States and global scientific collaborators to talk about visions for the future of European research at this time of change, and how it can be maintained and strengthened.
Ambitious projects such as the creation of the European Research Council (which funds the GlobalMass project) have earned a strong international reputation, establishing European research as a global player, and attracting the best researchers from the rest of the world to improve people’s lives around the globe.
